This grand piano was created for an exclusive show apartment at the Stockholm Exhibition of 1930. The steel legs and the simple form of the case, wrapped in broad bands of birch and walnut veneer, give the instrument a modern and industrial feel. But this unique handmade piano does not belong in a functional apartment furnished with mass-produced goods. This is luxury functionalism created for a traditional, bourgeois life style.
