This view of Ulriksdal includes the pleasure garden with much of its old-fashioned style from the time of Lord High Chancellor Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie. The orangery was so dilapidated in the late 17th century that Nicodemus Tessin the Younger was commissioned to remodel it, which meant replacing large parts of the old wooden building. The painting also shows the Mons Mariæ folly on the hill; it was demolished in the mid-18th century.
